The Australian Health Insurance Association (AHIA) is the Australian private health industry's peak representative body that represents 26 health funds throughout Australia and collectively covers more than 94% of the private health insurance industry.

AHIA member funds today provide healthcare benefits for approximately 9.5 million Australians.

Founded in 1971, AHIA continues to be a very influential and effective voice for the private health insurance industry, playing a key role in helping to shape both the overall regulatory environment and also public perceptions of private health insurance.
